Maryprisca Winfred Mahundi, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Information, Communication and Information Technology, speaking as chief guest for 2nd Graduation ceremony at Carmel Pre & Primary School – Mbeya.
On 17th August 2024, Carmel Pre & Primary School – Mbeya celebrated 2nd Graduation ceremony. On this joyful day 41 pupils reached milepost in their life. Fr. Edwin Mushi OCD, Director, extended a warm welcome to all present, ushering in the start of graduation ceremony. Beautiful presentation of various programmes gave colourful hue to the celebrations. Chief guest awarded certificates and various prizes for outstanding students.
In her address, the chief guest congratulated the pupils and their guardians and parents in reaching this important milestone in their life. Continuing, the deputy minister complimented the school along with its teaching and non- teaching staff for their commitment. She appreciated the way pupils are moulded giving importance to their all-round development. Finally, as a way of commending the school for its contribution, the deputy minister gifted five computers, while promising another five.
Guest of honour in his address, congratulated teachers and pupils in putting up a beautiful programme. He thanked all the staff for their hard work and contribution towards Carmel Pre & Primary School. Rev. Fr. Elius Malale OCD, acknowledged the contribution of school committee, parents and various stakeholders in making Carmel School, unique.

Fr. Elius Modest Malae OCD Manager Carmel Schools in Tanzania, Mrs. Rosemary Mhagama Quality Control officer for Education of Mbeya City, Fr. Edwin Mushi OCD Director of Carmel Pre & Primary School – Mbeya, Sr. Elizabeth Mahega Headmistress of Carmel Pre & Primary School – Mbeya, Mr. Steven Chambanenge Chairperson of School Committee, some of the Carmelites working in Tanzania – Fr. Raymond Santhanaz OCD, Fr. Baptist Fernandes OCD, and Fr. Renatus Payovela OCD, and a great number of religious sisters invited guests, staff members of Carmel Primary, as well as family members and friends of the graduands.
