On 11 August 2024, St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish-Mbezi Mwisho -Dar es Salaam, organized a special mass for young people of the Parish. Fr. Stan Rodrigues presided at the Eucharist. This Mass was specially celebrated for the intentions of the youth of the Parish.
In his homily Fr. Stan stressed on the importance of young people in the life of Parish community. He thanked each one for their unique contribution towards the parish and for their service to the Church at large. Fr. Rodrigues said that Eucharist is very important for a young person. The presider at the Eucharist encouraged them to take keen interest in the Eucharistic celebration and the Eucharistic Adoration. He said, ” let us use the Eucharist as a source of our strength, and guidance in our spiritual journey young and energetic people”.
Fr. Stan Rodrigues called upon the young to see the Eucharist not only a sacrament but also a unique way of approaching Christ, a means to live a holy life, a reflection of God’s love for the humanity. The lively choir conducted by the youth enhanced vibrancy of the celebration, inviting all present to actively participate in the liturgical celebrations. Presence of nearly 300 youth of the Parish joined to celebrate this special day.
