On February 2025, four Carmelite Friars namely, Benedict Thomas Maziku,Patrick Soffu, Edga Charles Mbambura and Fidele Hanjarina Mahery were ordained to the Diaconate at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Kihonda Maghorofani. The ordination was conferred by Rt. Rev. Wilbroad Kibozi, the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Dodoma. The ceremony was attended by fellow Carmelite Friars, neighboring priests, religious men and women, family members, friends, and the faithful of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
In his homily, Bishop Kibozi reminded the newly ordained deacons of their sacred duties, urging them to fulfill their roles with love, faithfulness, and sincerity. He emphasized that God calls them to serve His people with pure hearts and good consciences.
The Regional Vicar of the Vicariate of Tanzania also congratulated the newly ordained deacons, wishing them a fruitful ministry in the Church as ministers of the Word and Peace.
