The Discalced Carmelite Vicariate of Tanzania held the Rite of Initiation for the Novitiate on July 19, 2018.  It is a great day of joy and the day to be marked in the red letters in the history of the Discalced Carmelite Vicariate of Tanzania as 12 Novice were being initiated into the Novitiate at Malisho Novitiate Community, Mbeya. The First Councilor Fr. Vivian Menezes OCD led the Rite of Initiation and invited them to grow in prayer and discern God’s will. The novitiate is a year of grace and an essential foundation for the whole life of a religious.  As such novices are assigned a novice master who is both knowledgeable and experienced in the spiritual life and especially in the life of Carmel.
