The day was filled with joy when twenty-four (24) friars from various religious Congregations, including three Discalced Carmelite Friars, namely, Bro Peter Ulaya, Bro Michael Bwambogo, and Christian Ravelonirima, were ordained to the diaconate at the Eucharistic Celebration, which was held at Divine Saviour Chapel, Jordan University College.

The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Rt. Rev. Salutaris Melchior Libena, the Bishop of Ifakara Diocese.
In his homily, Rev. Bishop Salutaris Libena exhorted the deacons to remain always true to the Gospel values, which oppose the current philosophy of the world.
Discalced Carmelite Friars of St. Therese of Child Jesus, congratulate the newly Ordained deacons and wish them all the best in their new ministry of proclamation of the world of God.
