Carmelite Novitiate Community Malisho began to ring Silver bells on the 15th October 2024. It was the Solemnity of St. Teresa of Jesus. The Malisho Community celebrates the solemnity at 5 in the evening presided by Rev. Fr. Peter Ulaya, newly ordained and the new member of the Community in the newly designed temporary Chapel. The solemnity was also coloured with another event, the inauguration of the Silver Jubilee Year of the Malisho Community. Rev. Fr. George Masambu, from Mpandagindo Community in Songea represented the whole Vicariate.
Since Malisho Community completes 25 years, the house required a major renovation. So the whole Community planned to swift to the old house and the kindergarten section. Hence before the Holy Eucharistic celebration, Rev. Fr. George blessed the whole surroundings of the old house and the kindergarten.
At the beginning of the Holy Eucharist, the Jubilee Candle was lit by the Community Fathers and a Novice marking the beginning of the Jubilee celebration. Novices with their melodious voices gave splendour to the celebration.
Neighbouring sisters, OCDS members, leaders of the Parish and Malisho Out Station, leaders of the women group from the Parish and Malisho Out Station, our auxiliary staff and the workers of the repair works were present for the celebration. After the Eucharistic celebration all had the joy of enjoying the fraternal meal.
