26 of July 2024 was a day filled with joy in the vicariate of Tanzania when nine (9) aspirants were initiated into postulancy. Out of nine aspirants, one belongs to the Carmelite Mission of Zambia. The event took place during the Eucharistic Celebration, which was presided over by Rev. Fr. Elius Modest Malale, OCD, the Regional Vicar and concelebrated by Frs. Reginald Mworia and Peter Chami.
During his homily, Fr. Malale, OCD, reminded the postulants that postulancy is a period of grace; it is a time to discern the word of God speaking through the formator and the formation community. Therefore, it is their duty to listen tentatively.
At the same time, they should allow the Lord God to be their master, who works through formators and friars who will be offering them different classes. Since postulancy is a period of grace, everyone should open up to God’s grace and move in the spirit of the community.
Final he exhorted them to take courage since the Lord is a master of the journey.
Vicariate of Tanzania wish nine Postulants a fruitful year of discernment in the garden of Carmel
