The Discalced Carmelite friars of Tanzania’s St. Therese of Child Jesus vicariate will always look back on September 14, 2023, as a significant day. Rev. Fr. Silvestre D’Souza, the Provincial of Karnataka Goa Province, blessed the Carmel Prayer House, which is situated in the Buigiri Chamwino district, in the presence of Rev. Fr. Praveen Frank, the Regional Vicar; Rev. Fr. Gregory D’Souza, the Mission Zealator; Rev. Fr. Prakash D’Cunha, the Vicariate Councilor; and numerous other Carmelite friars. A prayer house at the Buigiri Carmel will be dedicated to St. Joseph.

Rev. Fr. Vicar used this opportunity to express gratitude to everyone who has helped the project since its inception, especially the mission zealot Rev. Fr. Gregory and the donors and well-wishers.
