It was red letter day in the history of the St. Martin of Tours Parish at Mpandagindo as it celebrated the Golden jubilee of the parish since it announced as the full pledged parish. The mass was solemnized with the presence of His Excellency Rt. Rev. Damian Dallu the Arch Bishop for the Arch Diocese of Songea. During the Solemn Mass 60 children received the Sacrament of Confirmation. In memory of this Jubilee the Parish offices were built and the Church was renovated with the hard efforts of the in charge Carmelite priests. Mementos were distrusted to the Bishop, priests and representatives of each religious congregation to mark the golden Jubilee of the Parish.
