The feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Kihonda, Morgoro was celebrated on the 15^th July 2018. The feast was solemnized with the Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee celebration of Fr. Lawrence Stanislaus Rodrigues. In preparation for the feast, there were novena which began on July 6^th and each day was the faithful were called to reflect on the different themes which reflected the life of Mary. Good number of religious and faithful participated the celebration and all were distributed the Holy Scapular, the symbol of Our Lady’s protection. The Solemn Eucharistic celebration was followed by a felicitation program and His Excellency Rt. Rev. Telesphore Mkude the bishop of the Diocese of Morgoro, Rev. Fr. Sylvester Msemwa the Regional Vicar for the Discalced Carmelites in Tanzania, Rev. Fr. Patrick Kun’galu the Vicar General of the Morogoro Diocese were the dignitaries present for the event.
